Floor Guide

Rules inside the Central Library

• Leaving luggage unattended or reserving spaces is prohibited. Take turns using facilities and yield to each other.
• Eating, drinking, and talking are prohibited in the bookshelves area.
• Food and drinks should be kept in your bag except in designated areas.
• Only drinks with a sealed cap (such as PET bottles or water bottles) can be brought in.
• Food can be kept in your bag, and only light snacks that are unlikely to spill may be brought in.
• If you wish to take photographs inside the library, you must apply in advance and obtain permission. Photography without permission is not allowed. (Note：Photography or Filming Inside the Library）

• Areas marked with “要” for reservation require advance booking. Please make a reservation through "部屋予約システム（Japanese Only）".

All floor：Reading Seats

• They are placed on every floor.

First floor：Media Space

• There is a desktop computer.
• To use the computer installed here, an ID and password are required.
• Please check TMUNER for details on the ID and password.

　

• Please use this with groups of three or more.
• Advance reservations are required.
• For details about facilities and so on, please check the room reservation system page.

First floor：Communication Space

• The tables, chairs, and whiteboard in the room can be freely moved. Please use them considerately.
• Markers and erasers are provided for the whiteboard.
• If a marker is not producing ink, please bring it to the counter. We will replace it with a new one.
• Please do not move the sofa.

First floor：Terrace

• This is the only area in the Central Library where eating and drinking are allowed.
• Any food you bring must be stored in your bag and can only be light snacks that are unlikely to spill.
• Even if your intention is to eat on the terrace, you must store your food in your bag when bringing it into the Central Library (food that cannot be stored in a bag is not allowed).

2nd Floor / 3rd Floor：Reading Seats（for individual use）

• These are seats partitioned like private rooms.
• There are 10 seats each on the second and third floors.

2nd Floor / 3rd Floor：Reading Room（for individual use）

• There are two rooms each on the 2nd and 3rd floors (7-8 seats each).
• The individual reading rooms on the 2nd floor prohibit the use of devices that make typing or clicking sounds (computers, calculators) for those who want to use them quietly.

2nd Floor / 3rd Floor：Meeting Rooms

　

• Please use this with a group of two or more people.
• Advance reservations are required.
• There is one room each on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Basement 1nd Floor / Basement 2rd Floor：Reading Seats（for individual use）

• There are 20 seats each on the first and second basement floors (10 seats in the central area and 10 seats in the north area).
• For those who wish to use it quietly, the use of devices that make clicking sounds (computers, calculators) is prohibited.

Facility Description

First floor：Vending Machine

• There are two on the terrace.

2nd Floor / 3rd Floor：Water Dispenser

• There is one on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd floor.

Trash can

• There are paper-only trash cans on every floor.
• Trash cans for non-burnable garbage, PET bottles, and cans are located in front of the elevator on the first floor or inside Communication Spaces 1 and 3.
• Please cooperate with sorting your trash.
