Mizuno Family Documents

Formerly owned by the Mizuno family, who were hereditary daimyo (lords of Yamagata Domain at the end of the Edo period, 1603―1868). The collection primarily covers the late Edo period, focusing on the shogunate and domain administration under Mizuno Tadakuni, who spearheaded the Tenpo Reforms, and Mizuno Tadakiyo, a member of the shogun's council of elders in the period when Japanese ports were opened to overseas trade. It also includes historical materials related to the arts and sciences. Not searchable via OPAC.

Horie Family Documents

Town officials' records spanning the entire Edo period (1603―1868), passed down through the hereditary town officials, the Horie family, of Nakano Village, Tama District, Musashi Province (present-day Nakano Ward, Tokyo). Includes historical materials concerning dog kennels under the Shorui Awaremi no Rei (ordinances for animal protection), as well as materials indicating falconry sites near Edo. Documents Related to Hanabusa Yoshimoto

Most of the documents are letters addressed to the diplomat Hanabusa Yoshimoto (1842―1917). It also contains diplomatic records from the mid-Meiji period (1868―1912), including those of a minister stationed in Korea who handled port opening negotiations. Not searchable via OPAC.

Documents Related to Uehara Yusaku

Most of the documents are letters addressed to army officer Uehara Yusaku (1856―1933). They date from the time of his appointment as Minister of the Army at the end of the Meiji era (1868―1912) until his death. Not searchable via OPAC.

Documents Related to Hijikata Hisamoto

Diaries from his time as an imperial loyalist samurai of the Bakumatsu period (final years of the Edo period, between 1853 and 1867) and other materials from politician Hijikata Hisamoto (1833―1918), including appointment letters, property certificates, calligraphy, paintings, and so on. Documents Related to Takahashi Korekiyo

Mainly letters and official appointments addressed to the financier Takahashi Korekiyo (1854―1936), mostly dating up to the 1890s. It features a distinctive collection of historical materials related to silver mining in Peru. Not searchable via OPAC.

Fusuma Village Documents

Other name：Okada Family Documents.

Town officials' documents from the Edo period (1603―1868) to the early Meiji era (1868―1912), passed down in the Okada family, an old family in Fusuma Village, Ebara District, Musashi Province (within present-day Meguro Ward, Tokyo). Not searchable via OPAC.

Higashiterakata Village Documents

Mainly administrative documents produced in Higashiterakata Village (present-day Tama City, Tokyo). From the early Meiji period (1868―1912) to the 1920s. Many documents are related to land, such as land tax reform and land improvement. Not searchable via OPAC.
