Q. Do libraries have Wi-Fi or other wireless LAN? If so, please explain how to connect.

  • he library is equipped with the university's internal wireless LAN (not a library-specific one). As for instructions for connection, you can refer to the network connection page of TMUNER

Q. Can I print out documents in the library?

Q. Can I make copies in the library?

  • You can make copies of materials held by the library only, in accordance with Article 31 of the Copyright Act, only partially within a limited scope. Personal notes and handouts cannot be copied. As for detailed instructions on using the copy machines, you can have a look at the facility guide of each library.

Q. Can I borrow something to carry a lot of materials? Also, can I use the elevator?

  • Baskets, carts, and book trucks are regularly available for transporting materials. Please feel free to use them. 
    -Baskets: 1st floor (next to the lending machine) / 2nd floor / 3rd floor 
    - Carts: 1st floor / Basement 1st floor (central area) / Basement 2nd floor (central area) 
    - Book trucks: Basement 1st floor (central area) / Basement 2nd floor (central area)
  • Also, there is an elevator on the east side of the library. You can make use of it as well.

Q. Can the air conditioning be turned on on hot days?

  • If users notify the library that it is hot, we respond flexibly. 
  • Regarding the temperature, there are university air conditioning operation rules (28°C in summer, 20°C in winter), and the temperature is set according to those rules.

Q. I would like to take photos inside the library. How should I proceed?

  • If you belong to the university, an application needs to be submitted at least three days before the desired shooting date (excluding closed days).

Q. Can I use a computer in the basement of the central library?

Hon-kan
  • The basement floors of the central library (Basement 1st floor and Basement 2st floor) are areas where computer use is prohibited.
  • PCs other than the terminals provided for OPAC cannot be used. Wireless LAN is not available, either.

Q. Are there any areas in the central library that Tokyo residents cannot use?

  • "Individuals Living or Working in Tokyo" cannot use the media space on the first floor and communication spaces (1-3), the presentation room, nor the meeting rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Q. Is there a space that I can use alone for an online interview?

  • You can use the main building's communication space alone. However, please note that it is not a private room (there will be people around) and there is no dedicated network.
  • At the Minami-Osawa Campus Career Support Division, online interview spaces are available for rent, so please consider using them as well.

There is no space available for individual use where you can speak. (The Systems Design Library communication space is a room available for group use.)
