Library Map:
- Materials on the open shelves are freely available for browsing and use. Please return them to their original location after use. Materials stored in the closed stacks are available upon request. Please inquire at the service desk.

Copying
- A coin-operated copy machine is available.
Color: 50 yen per page
- The copy machine is self-service.
- The library does not provide change.
- When copying library materials, please fill out and submit the “Application for Copies” form.
- Copying is permitted only within the limits set forth in Article 31 of the Japanese Copyright Law:
- The purpose of copying shall be limited to the user’s personal research and studies.
- Users are allowed to copy only part of the materials. *The most recent issues of journals may not be copied. However, for older issues, copying of an entire article is permitted.
- Users are allowed to make only one copy of materials.
Use of audio-visual materials
- Supplementary audio-visual materials that accompany books may be borrowed.
- Standalone audio-visual materials such as videos and DVDs cannot be borrowed, except by faculty members.
- Please use the PC Media Space or the DVD and VHS players available in the Carrel Room or Group Work Rooms to view or listen to audio-visual materials.
(Headphones are available at the service desk.)
Study Area / Lounge
Please feel free to use the seats.
Wireless LAN
- Campus wireless LAN access is available throughout the library.
- Visitors not affiliated with the university may bring their own laptops; however, access to the campus wireless LAN is not available.Please bring your own battery.
Facilities
Facilities are available for general use. Please keep quiet except in group study areas. The Communication Square and Group Work Room A (faculty only) are available for exclusive use. → For details “Reserving Library Facilities for Exclusive Use”
Visitors not affiliated with the university may use seating areas only.
PC Media Space
- 16 terminals are available in the PC Media Space (2 terminals are for searching only.).
*Printed output is available for a fee. - Audio-visual materials may be viewed using headphones.
For visitors not affiliated with the university:
- Please use the designated terminals.
- Access to certain databases and electronic journals may be restricted due to licensing agreements.
- External storage devices, including USB memory sticks, may not be used.
- Use of the search terminals is prioritized for university members.
Study Room
- Five private rooms for quiet individual study.
Group Work Room A/B
- A space for group discussion and study. Movable tables and chairs may be freely arranged.
- Audio-visual materials may be viewed using headphones.
Carrel Room
- A space for quiet individual study.
- 1 seat is available for viewing audio-visual materials. *Viewing library-owned audio-visual materials is given priority.
Communication Square
- A flexible space with movable tables and chairs for group study.
- Exclusive use is available for groups of five or more by reservation.
- When not reserved for group use, the space is open for general seating.
- Projectors, screens, and other equipment are available at the service desk.
Reserving Library Facilities for Exclusive Use
The Communication Square and Group Work Room A may be reserved for exclusive use. Group Work Room A is for faculty members only.
Communication Square
- Seating capacity: 32 seats (additional chairs available).
- Exclusive use requires a minimum of five participants. No minimum number applies to faculty members.
- Available equipment: projector, ceiling-mounted or portable screen, DVD player, lectern.
Group Work Rooms A (Faculty applications only)
- Seating capacity: 12 seats (additional chairs available).
- Available equipment: projector, portable screen, DVD and VHS players, lectern.
*When using the projector in the Communication Square, please bring a laptop with an HDMI-compatible port or borrow a laptop from the library. To borrow a library laptop, please complete the required procedures at the service counter.

Library Rules
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the library.
- Use and charging of mobile phones are not permitted inside the library.
- Talking and eating inside the library are not permitted.
- Please do not leave personal belongings unattended.
- Photography is prohibited inside the library.
Beverage Policy in the Library
Only covered beverages are permitted inside the library.
Permitted Items
- Beverages in containers that can be securely sealed (e.g., plastic bottles, stainless steel bottles)
Prohibited Items
- Beverages in containers that cannot be sealed (e.g., canned drinks, paper cartons; containers with lids that are not leak-proof are not permitted).
- Beverages with strong odors (e.g., coffee)
- Please take care not to spill beverages or cause condensation that may damage library materials.
- Users will be required to compensate for any damage or loss caused to library materials.
*Consumption of beverages is prohibited near bookshelves, computers, and copy machine.
